Question by Josephine_sy: What do regional, sectional skating competitions mean in England?

I know about national and international, but what kind of competitions one has to go through in England before reaching that? I read somewhere about regional and sectional but I don't know what they mean. And in what month does each start? There's something about regional ones in October, Sectionals in November, nationals in January and Internationals in March. What does that mean??

If you want to compete in those big competitions, you have to first qualify to go to regionals at a qualifying event. Then if you are in the top 4 or something, you go to sectionals, and top 2 goes to nationals. From nationals, I think top 4 can go compete at Worlds.
