Book, Fantasy, Like, People, Traditionally, good, Don't


Question by Sämy: What is a good fantasy book for people who traditionally don't like fantasy?

I really want to try to dive into fantasy, reading it that is. But, whenever I try to read it, I usually get bogged down by pages upon pages of, what I consider, frivolous description and overly complex explanations of the fantasy world. So, I want to know some good fantasy books that won't, you know, say too much and simply show more.

And, to help you a bit, I would love books with LGBTQ characters, but that is in no way a requirement.

anything by christopher wooding is really good! i suggest- "Poison" and "The Haunting Of Alaizabel Cray"
