My friends and I were on a five-day hike through Brungmarka, a pretty much untouched area south of Trondheim, Norway.

We had a great time. Lots of sun, lots of rain, lots of marsh, lots of snus, and mostly, lots of walking - 43km in two days, some during the night.

But we caught no fish. Well, one. A very small one.

Fishing report and best times for 1/14

The lake level was 658.5 (660 is normal pool level); with heavy generation scheduled, the lake should fall to 657.5 by the weekend. Ameren has started its annual drawdown of the lake. Surface temperature at Bagnell Dam is 44 degrees with upstream temperatures of 38 to 45-degrees depending on location and time of day.
