Jesus from Judaism to Christianity: Continuum Approaches to the Historical Jesus (Library of New Testament Studies)

One of the characteristic pursuits of the current phase of historical Jesus research, the so-called Third Quest, has been the serious attempt to locate Jesus within first-century CE Judaism, to seek a Jesus who could be found plausible within his Jewish context. Comparatively less emphasis has been laid on the question as to whether or how the contextually plausible picture of Jesus also suits and accounts for the history of the reception of Jesus in early Christianity. By integrating the Jewish context, the teaching of Jesus and Christian reception history into one explanation, the continuum perspective seeks to reveal a Jesus who would both be fitting within his Jewish context and would also help to explain and understand early Christian stances. Thus, according to this perspective, a historically plausible picture of Jesus is one that can be placed in the Judaism-Christianity continuum.

Question by zeepogee: Do you care to see how educators have hidden the facts of the American native?

How education in this form reduces backbone. What is has done to honor and truth? What happened to Montezumas palace? The slaughter of 30,000 by fellow natives? WHY?
I guess, but ranting for an honest answer, can you find one?
Yes my friend, there are many books written about the true native that dare to document the slaughter. Try the readers digest copy of Indian Heritage. You might also go visit the historical sites all across the country. Those who wish to cover up have written many too.

LADY UNDER FIRE ON THE WESTERN FRONT: The Great War Letters of Lady Dorothie Feilding MM

When Britain went to war in 1914 many people rallied to the cause, determined to join the colours or be useful in some other way. Lady Dorothie Mary Evelyn Feilding was one of the latter. 'Lady D' spent almost three years on the Western Front in Belgium driving ambulances for the Munro Motor Ambulance Corps, an all-volunteer unit. During her time in Flanders her bravery was such that she received the Belgian Order of Leopold, the French Croix de Guerre and was the first woman to be awarded the British Military Medal.

She wrote home to Newnham Paddox, near Rugby, almost daily. Her letters reflect the mundane, tragedy and horror of war and also the tensions of being a woman at the front contending with shells, gossip, funding, lice, vehicle maintenance and inconvenient marriage proposals.

Though Dorothie was the daughter of an Earl and from a privileged upbringing she had an easy attitude that transcended social boundaries and that endeared her to all that she came in to contact with whether royalty or the ordinary fighting man.
